Psalm 17 – I Shall Behold Your Face

In Psalm 17, David pleads for his life once more. He pleads innocent and begs for deliverance. I get the sense that he yearns for signs of assurance that God is with him. This is especially evident where David says, “Wondrously show your steadfast love” (v. 9) and “I shall behold your face” (v. 15). There is a confidence that God will reveal himself to David by means of deliverance. In moments when I experience various burdens, may I also confidently pursue deliverance as a sign of God’s abiding presence!
